Airport in China reports UFO sighting

Nepal News.Net
Saturday 10th July, 2010

A Chinese airport in Hangzhou City in the east of the country was shut down when air traffic controllers spotted an unidentified flying object approaching the airport on radar screens.

The sightings on radar followed several reports from across the city of a strange flying aircraft, with some residents telling Xinhua, the state-run news provider in China, that they’d seen a fireball resembling a comet.

A local bus driver, Yu, claimed to have seen a glowing UFO over the city.

“The thing suddenly ran westwards fast, like it was escaping from something,” he said.

Authorities at Xiaoshan airport quickly shutdown the facility, grounding planes, halting ground traffic and preventing passengers from boarding, while incoming flights were diverted to nearby cities.

The UFO soon vanished from radar screens, but it was not until four hours later that flights were resumed.

Government officials and meteorological experts have dismissed claims of anything sinister stating that the UFO was likely nothing more than a private aircraft from which the sun reflected at odd angles.
