Bangladesh bat, hand debuts to Mithun and Khaled Ahmed

Toss Bangladesh chose to bat v Zimbabwe

Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah decided to bat against Zimbabwe in the second Test in Mirpur. The home side rung in three changes by bringing in Mustafizur Rahman and handing debuts to Mohammad Mithun and Khaled Ahmed.

Mithun, 27, became the most experienced first-class cricketer from Bangladesh to make his Test debut, having already played 88 games. Khaled is a tearaway pace bowler from Sylhet and has played 20 first-class matches. They replaced Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Nazmul Islam and Abu Jayed.

Zimbabwe opted for a three-man seam attack by including Donald Tiripano in place of Wellington Masakadza.
