NEW DELHI -- India's economic growth rate during the full financial year of 2019-20 slowed to 4.2 percent as compared to 6.1 percent expansion in 2018-19, government data released on Friday showed.
The annual expansion in the GDP at 4.2 percent in fiscal year 2019-20 is the lowest pace of growth in 11 years, as against a previously projected 5 percent. (India-GDP)

TOKYO -- The second phase of Tokyo easing its coronavirus-linked business activities will begin on Monday, Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike said Friday, despite a recent uptick in COVID-19 cases in the capital.

MANILA -- The number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines on Friday reached 16,634, after the health authorities reported 1,046 more cases in the country.

JAKARTA -- The trade relationship between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries remains resilient despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Chinese Ambassador to ASEAN Deng Xijun said here Friday.
