CLARK FREEPORT ZONE, Jan. 25 (PIA) -- Clark Development Corporation (CDC) is set to integrate new technology in its frontline processes to facilitate ease of doing business.

CDC President Manuel Gaerlan said he directed his team to anchor all innovations to the "reset, rebound and recover" concept.

Under this, he said CDC will work on enhancing and modernizing its business systems and processes to make it more responsive to the needs of locators, especially amid the pandemic.

"We will focus on upgrading our systems and methods using up-to-date technology that will result to better services and experience for our locators and stakeholders. This will also ensure their safety in view of the demands for more online business processing," he said.

This strategy is also its way of adapting alternative modes of communication to handle business concerns of stakeholders and visitors alike.

He added that this will also translate into a more favorable investment climate in the Freeport.

"With this, I am confident that while we maximize our potentials to promote ease of doing business, this will eventually attract to more investments in the areas of manufacturing, logistics, and tourism. Also, this will make Clark closer to achieving its goal of being a premiere aerotropolis and a preferred meeting, incentives, conferences, and exhibits destination in the Asia-Pacific Region," Gaerlan said.

Meanwhile, as part of its plan to automate frontline services and transactions inside the Freeport, CDC also partnered with Landbank of the Philippines in launching an online payment option for Clark locators.

Through the Linkbiz.Portal, locators can now pay their permits and other fees to CDC. Payments for lease rentals under Treasury Division; visa-related fees under Business Development and Business Enhancement Group; alien employment permit, dependents visa, downgrading of visa, optional express lane fee, photocopy ACR iCARD, provisional permit to work, Subic-Clark working visa excess limit, and special working permit can also be made via this new option.

Aside from this, Gaerlan said the BDBEG and CDC Information Technology Division have more programs and projects in the pipeline to develop new approaches in accelerating corporate processes in the Freeport. (CLJD/MJSC-PIA 3)
