ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - On the occasion of the country's 246th Independence Day, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed his government's eagerness to engage with President Joe Biden's administration at all levels to promote bilateral ties, including trade and investment.

The message comes as the country works hard to improve ties with the U.S. following Imran Khan's government's allegations against a high-ranking U.S. official of hatching a plot to destabilize his government through a no-confidence vote.

PM Shahbaz Sharif said on Twitter that his government looks forward to engaging with the U.S. government at all levels to promote bilateral relations.

"It gives me great pleasure to extend my heartfelt congratulations and greetings to the people and government of the United States on the occasion of their Independence Day. My government is eager to work with the Biden Administration at all levels to advance our bilateral relations, including trade and investment, "the prime minister wrote.
