DHAKA, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh recorded 1,363 new suspected measles cases and six more deaths in the past 24 hours, the country's health authority said on Thursday.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services, the latest suspected measles-related cases and deaths occurred between 8 a.m. on Wednesday and 8 a.m. on Thursday.

The latest figures bring the total number of suspected cases to 54,419 and the suspected death toll to 369 since the outbreak began in mid-March.
